This past weekend, I had the privilege of returning to the One Percent Showcase—a truly unforgettable experience. Being invited back to such a prestigious event was an honor, and this time, I attended as an individual competitor rather than with my Red Hots National team. The dynamic was different, but the opportunity to test myself on one of lacrosse’s biggest stages exceeded every expectation.
The One Percent Showcase, held this time in Florida, is renowned for assembling the top lacrosse players from across the country. Stepping onto the field alongside athletes from so many regions, each bringing their own style and intensity, was both humbling and inspiring. The energy was electric, and I knew this weekend would be one to remember.
A Highlight of the Showcase: All-Star Team Selection
One of the standout moments of the event was being selected for the All-Star team. Recognition among such elite competition is always a privilege, and it reminded me of the hard work I’ve put in over the years, on and off the field.
What made it even more special was connecting with new teammates from all over the country. Within minutes, we built a bond, sharing strategies, encouragement, and the drive to excel. Despite just meeting, we played as if we had been teammates for years—a testament to the universal language of lacrosse.
Playing Under the Watchful Eyes of College Coaches
Adding to the intensity was the presence of some of the top college coaches in the country. Knowing they were watching every play pushed me to stay focused and give my best effort. Their feedback was invaluable, providing insights I’ll carry with me as I continue to grow. Competing under their watchful eyes was surreal and further fueled my determination to play at the collegiate level and beyond.
The All-Star Game: A Perfect Finale
The pinnacle of the showcase was the All-Star game—a hard-fought battle filled with incredible plays and relentless effort. Winning the game was the perfect way to cap off the weekend, and it’s a memory I’ll cherish forever. Contributing to the team’s success alongside such talented players reaffirmed why I love lacrosse: the camaraderie, the competition, and the pure joy of the game.

Reflecting on the weekend, I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to compete, learn, and grow. Events like the One Percent Showcase remind me why I fell in love with lacrosse and inspire me to keep pushing myself every day.

I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned back to my teams and continue chasing my dream of playing Division I lacrosse. The journey is far from over, and I can’t wait for what’s next.
